The look we know today with the characteristic ‘claws’ and half-moon facets dates back to 1982 and has become one of the most famous watch designs in the world since then. The new model, the Constellation Co-Axial Master Chronometer, features some interesting innovations. For example, a new size: The new 34 mm case is available in 18-carat Sedna™ gold, stainless steel or in a two-tone combination. The bezels feature either engraved Roman numerals or 38 full-cut diamonds.
However, most striking is the special symmetry of the face. In addition to a round date window at 6 o’clock, OMEGA has chosen diamonds of different sizes for the hour markers, all set in 18-carat gold holders. The small seconds and the central minute track are framed by a ring. The watch houses a Co-Axial Master Chronometer caliber 8802, which can be admired through the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal.
