The model’s design is resolutely contemporary and perfectly suited for lovers of style, of codes and of strong design, from a design house created over two centuries ago. The Free Bridge features a Neo bridge recognisable by its arrow shape, which stretches from one side to the other of the base plate. Its shape revisits the iconic arrow bridge design of the Manufacturer, while reinterpreting contemporary architectural structures.
La Chaux-de-Fonds’ master watchmakers have reinterpreted the calibre of the Maison GP01800, injecting it with modernity and daring. Girard-Perregaux used silicon to make the escapement and the variable inertia balance wheel. It is impervious to corrosion or temperature variations, light and insensitive to magnetic fields.
The openness of the movement, between 6 and 12 o’clock, bathes the exposed components in abundant light. The inversed movement offers a unique lateral view of some parts more often hidden, like the balance wheel, escapement and barrel positioned in the upper part of the dial.
