Vanguard Racing Skeleton
Limited Swiss edition of 88 pieces
As cars become increasingly designed specifically for racing, Franck Muller engineers and designers have also remodelled the Vanguard Racing Skeleton’s timekeeping to improve its weight and display properties. Designed with features reminiscent of car racing engines, the automatic movement and dial structure of this timepiece have been considerably reduced. Technical materials such as carbon fibre, titanium, and aluminium were chosen to complement this style. The Vanguard Racing Skeleton displays hours, minutes, seconds and date in an uncompromising aesthetic. The central seconds counter, thanks to a smoked sapphire glass, offers a precise display while allowing for high visibility of movement. The seconds indicators start at the bottom instead of the top and in a race car tower, allowing the owner to read the seconds from both ends of the hand.
The white red-tip hand and the two-tone second indicators further reinforce the idea of a tower, making you want to race in the red zone. To further accentuate the skeleton design, the date numbers were also fully skeletonized. The watch band is integrated into the case using two invisible screws, instead of the classic spring bar technique. The rubber inside of the strap effortlessly takes the shape of the wrist, combining comfort and aesthetics, while Alcantara suede evokes the coating of a sports car passenger compartment.
